Bursaries

Each year, we provide up to 15 bursary places for the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Scottish Fundraising Conference. These bursaries help support fundraisers who are unable to fund a conference ticket of their own. This is an effective way to support the development of fundraisers for the future.

Criteria:

  • Applicants should be a practicing fundraiser based in Scotland and a member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
  • It is essential that the applicant can attend both days of the conference.
  • It is desirable to award bursaries to those who work for organisations who would not normally have the resources to allow the applicant to attend the conference.
  • It is desirable to award bursaries to people who would be attending the conference for the first time.
  • It is essential that the applicant has clearly demonstrated how their attendance at the conference will assist their own learning and development.
  • It is essential that the applicant has demonstrated willingness to take learning back to their organisations and apply it in practice.
  • It is essential that the applicant has reviewed the conference programme and given a clear indication on how they will use their time at the conference (e.g. applicant has identified multiple sessions that they would like to attend and explained why they are of value.)
  • We welcome applications from all who meet the criteria regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.
